About UsServicing Brisbane for 10+ years with local knowledge and maximum returns!
About UsSquared away in Spring Hill, Brisbane, Inchcolm by Ovolo stands as one of the city’s best and most convenient four-star hotels. Just last year the property revamped its already stylish amenities by introducing The Inchcolm Bar, significantly upping the boutique hotel’s luxury aesthetic. And while the addition has elevated the hotel successfully, that kind of vintage-minded glow-up is nothing compared to an upcoming hotel-wide takeover by Grey Goose Vodka, offering guests the country’s most indulgent hotel package at a cool $50,000 (well, $49,999) per night. Conceived as The Grey Goose Hotel by Ovolo, the pop-up brand takeover will be an uncompromising way to spend a night in Brisbane for you and 39 of your best mates (or your best clients).
I know that $50,000 price tag is more than just a bit punchy, and you’re already wondering how the hell Grey Goose and Ovolo justify sticking that kind of label on what is just one night is pure indulgence. It’s up to you whether or not the following is worth it, but do keep in mind that it’s an entire hotel takeover for 40 people.
The last time Australia had seen anything remotely similar to this ambitious offering was last year during the height of the Delta-induced lockdown. You could rent Melbourne’s ritzy 44-room Jackalope Hotel in its entirety for $20,000 per night. Granted, that’s still less than half of what The Grey Goose Hotel is asking. Here’s what they offer in return.
A press release announcing The Grey Goose Hotel indicates that the package isn’t limited to the above, so it’s likely they’ll be a few more surprises on the day for anyone taking the exclusive offer.
If 50k is chump change to you, there aren’t many things to do in Brisbane this year that could match this. In fact, nothing could match this. You and your mates would spend the day immersed in the 1920s glamour of The Inchcolm Bar with that Grey Goose martini tower and the 5-hour beverage package before dipping down to the aforementioned 3-course dinner scored by either a DJ or a live jazz band.
Squeezed in between will be that martini masterclass, oyster shucking class, and the caviar experience with Simon Johnson where you’ll be presented with a selection of imported caviar from Ars Italica, Black Pearl, and Gourmet House, spanning different varietals like Oscietra, Baerii, Beluga, and White Sturgeon.
As with all these ambitious one-offs, a few caveats should be noted. First, Ovolo notes that some blackout dates apply, which is reasonable given the hotel has to operate as normal throughout the year. Second, the 50k price tag is for 40 people, but you can stretch it out with up to 80 people, which works out to a reasonable $625 each. If you’re keen on that, hit up the hotel to make enquiries and get it all locked in.
